CORY NATURE
PHOTOGRAPHY APRIL 15th-19th, 2009 ASSISTED
BY I have been a co-instructor at the Cory’s Spring Smokies workshop for the past 16 years. The Corys are great friends and exceptional nature photographers. The experience of being in the Smokies and teaching during the spring bloom is always a joy. In this workshop we’ll have time to visit many of the park’s best locations. We typically visit Cades Cove, Newfound Gap, Roaring Fork, the Tremont Area and the Little River Road as well as other photogenic locations. We will photograph spring wildflowers, pastoral landscapes, rushing mountain streams with moss-covered boulders, pioneer building and a Smoky Mountain sunrise. The workshop will be based at the Tally Ho Motel in Townsend, the “quiet side of the Smokies.” Plan on spending 80% of your time in the field---we like to emphasize hands-on instruction. There is a provision for non-participating friends and spouses who would like to join us in the field and for meals. Nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge provide a variety of shopping and sight-seeing experiences. These workshops tend to fill well in advance, so early registration is advised.
