Beginning Nature Photography
Bays Mountain Park,
Kingsport, TN
Harold R. Stinnette

March 14, 2009
9:00am - 2:00pm

Do you enjoy being in the great outdoors, spending time relaxing watching wildlife or searching out that first wildflower of spring? Want to bring home better images of that wildflower or animal you have seen? May be you just what to take better photographs on the family outings. Either way this could be the place to start.

During this five hour introductory workshop we'll introduce you to the basics of nature photography. We'll spend sometime in the classroom discussing equipment; cameras, lenses and tripods. We'll give good solid advice on what you need for what you want to do. We'll talk about lighting and composition; two elements of a good image and how knowing how to recognize them will quickly improve your photography. We'll also discuss digital photography, including editing, managing and storing images.

After the classroom session we'll move outside and work on the principles we have discussed. At this time we'll work getting the best images with the equipment you already own, how you see an image and how to improve on your vision.

Cost: The cost of this program is only $50. There will be notes covering everything we talk about in this program.
